Deleted Scenes is a monthly book-reading event organised by Paul Johnathan in London’s Soho.
It usually hosts 3-4 authors who read some of their work.
Some of the recent guest authors were Kirsty Allison (Psychomachia), Neil Bartlett (Ready To
Catch Him Should He Fall) and Adam Mars-Jones, whose book Box Hill was recently adapted into
the film Pillion.
My role in the project has been designing film posters that reflect the current visual direction of Deleted Scenes, as well as creating other promotional materials such as editing trailers and photography.
Thanks to Deleted Scenes, I had the pleasure of photographing some of the most talented authors. Here's a selection of photos from the events, including a reading for Tolka Journal's 10th Anniversary.
This year, The Nickel Independent Cinema in London hosts movie runs in collaboration with Deleted Scenes, celebrating the lives and careers of the artists involved in creation of the films. Below is a selection of the work I have done for the runs dedicated to Jane Fonda and John Waters.
